Target Trip of Terror

Today I gave Mommy a run for her money at Target. It is Spring Break for her, so she envisioned a nice, leisurely trip to target in the middle of the morning when no one else was there. Well I crushed those dreams quickly. You see, now that I can walk, I don’t want to be confined to a shopping basket anymore. There are too many things to see and touch and throw and climb though. So about ¼ of the way through the trip I started begging to get down. No mommy, I don’t want my juice, no not my baby doll either, I want down, NOW. So mommy in her naivety put me down. That’s when I took off. I made sure to go the opposite way that mommy needed to go to fulfill her list. Something colorful would catch my eye and I just had to have it in my hands that very second. Mommy kept picking me up and bringing me back to the cart but as soon as my rose, gold-colored sandals hit the floor I was off again. At one point, I think I gave mommy a little scare. We were in the section with all the baby clothes and I climbed between two huge stroller boxes. When mommy bent over to look for my sandals pitter patting around she saw no sandals. I think her heart skipped a beat until I made a squeal and revealed my position. To retrieve me, I made my 7 month pregnant mommy crawl under a 3 foot tall display on her hands and knees. The trip only went downhill from there. At each moment I was either dashing off to grab a toy or screaming in the confines of the shopping cart. Needless to say, mommy was exhausted when we finally pulled away from the store. I actually feel kinda bad for how I acted in Target, maybe I’ll take an extra long afternoon nap today for mommy so she can have a break :) What is she going to do when there are two of us meh he he!
